Oakland Woodshop

What is the Woodshop?!

A hands-on workshop equipped with saws, sanders, and hand tools for students to build and prototype projects after completing safety orientation and tool training. The shop is located on the Oakland campus, in Aron Art Center Building D, Room101.

Open hours

The Woodshop is closed for the summer! We will see you in the fall.

We host open hours (almost) every day so that you can come in and make things. All you have to do is attend an orientation and wear appropriate clothing for the work you want to do (always close-toed shoes!). If you’d like to be trained on a specific piece of equipment, you can sign up for training or just bring your project in and ask someone for help!
