Orientations to the Wet Lab Makerspace

The first step to working in the Wet Lab Makerspace is to attend an orientation. This is a safety and community orientation that will teach you what you need to know to interact with the space: what the rules are, how to sign up for and attend trainings, and how to get checked off on equipment you already know how to use. We’ll also review our honor code and how our community works! Orientations run every day that we are open at the times listed below. Just drop in!

Mondays 3:00pm
Tuesdays 2:00pm
Wednesdays 1:00pm
Thursdays 12:00pm
Fridays 11:00am
Saturdays 4:00pm

Please wear clothing and shoes that cover your legs and feet completely. No sandals or crocs!

Orientations will gather outside the main door to the space (EXP 220-225). Following the orientation you will be able to open the main door with your Husky card during open hours.

Basic Lab Skills Workshop

Just looking for a tour?

An Orientation is the first step to beginning work in the Wet Lab Makerspace and includes an introduction to, for example, storing project materials and waste management. If you would like a more general tour, please contact us or book time with the makerspace manager.
