RISO Printer

A RISO printer is often called “digital screenprinting”, as it works with a limited set of colors layered on top of each other. They work very well for large volumes of prints, as they take a bit of experimentation to set up properly but can create consistent, repeatable prints after set-up. RISO prints are known for their “grainy” quality compared to other types of digital printing, such as inkjet printing (which is the standard type of color printer you’ll see in libraries and classrooms).
