Welcome to the Print Media Labs!
The Print Media Labs is a group of design studios open to everyone at Northeastern, located on the Oakland campus! The Print Media Labs is made up of the Analog Print Studio, the Cuttery, photography studios, black and white darkroom, digital labs, and experimental print processes. The labs are located in the Aron Arts Complex.
Open hours
We host open hours (almost) every day so that you can come in and make things. All you have to do is attend an orientation and wear appropriate clothing for the work you want to do (always close-toed shoes!). If you’d like to be trained on a specific piece of equipment, you can sign up for training or just bring your project in and ask someone for help!

Orientations
Orientations happen 3 times a day, Monday through Thursday.
Our orientation covers safety and community. You will learn how to interact with the space: what the rules are, how to sign up for and attend trainings, and how to get checked off on equipment. We’ll also review our honor code and how our community works!
Orientations run at the following times:
Monday-Thursday
12-12:20pm
3:40-4pm
4:50-5:10pm
Our Processes
The Print Media Labs is made up of digital and analog art and design equipment, including letterpresses, paper cutting equipment, paper marbling, photography studios, specialized project photography, darkrooms, a computer lab, a digital print lab, and experimental print processes.
