In this introduction to DNA lab techniques, participants will isolate genomic DNA from E. coli using a commercially available kit, measure the DNA using both a spectrophotometer and a fluorometer, and learn about short- and long-term DNA storage.
Familiarity with using a micropipette is required. If you are unfamiliar with this instrument, we suggest you take our Basic Lab Skills Workshop.
