Who are we?
The Makerspace at EXP is a community resource meant to serve everybody at Northeastern: all students, staff, and faculty, regardless of course of study, concentration, or affiliation. The makerspace operates under a first-come, first-served model, and gives no preferences to anyone for any type of work. Interested in making a Halloween costume? Come on in! Interested in prototyping and building a complex research project? Come on in! All you have to do is attend an orientation—times listed below. Make sure to wear close-toed shoes!

Fall Open hours
We host open hours every day so that you can come in and make things. All you have to do is attend an orientation and wear appropriate clothing for the work you want to do (always close-toed shoes!). If you’d like to be trained on a specific piece of equipment, you can sign up for training, walk yourself through a DIY training, or just bring your project in and ask someone for help!

Orientations
Our orientation is a safety and community orientation that will teach you what you need to know to interact with the space: what the rules are, how to sign up for and attend trainings, and how to get checked off on equipment you already know how to use. We’ll also review our honor code and how our community works! . Just drop in!
